PSIMEx is a 4 year project (Proteomics Standards Initiative and International Molecular
Exchange – Systematic Capture of Published Molecular Interaction Data) which supports the activities of the International Molecular Exchange collaboration. IMEx is a network of participating databases which have come together to provide a non-redundant set of highly annotated protein-protein interaction data. The PSIMEx consortium consists of all the participating databases plus a supporting network of data users and data producers which act as advisors to the project and monitor the quality of data produced by this group. The grant originally involved 14 partners - since its inception, an additional 5 groups have joined and other members are welcome.

Under the PSIMEx  project, the consortium supplies

  • access to the IMExnon-redundant protein interaction dataset
  • Training
  • Support for the HUPO PSI-MI interaction data exchange standards
