The Company develops and manufactures advanced bioanalytical systems, which provide real time quantitative data on binding interactions between biomolecules in a label free manner. Since the first commercial product was launched in 1990, Biacore has built an enviable reputation and leadership position in affinitybased biosensors with over 90% market share. Interaction data, as obtained from experiments with Biacore instruments, are reported in more than 6000 peer reviewed publications. Biacore has recently been acquired by GE and is now part of the GE healthcare business.
